Unless you grew up under a rock somewhere, you have been exposed to magicians at an early age, and like most people, have been fascinated and have loved the art for as long as you can remember. Well, here are a few easy ways to bring back that fascination you remember from long ago, and the thrill you still feel when magic is in the air, and you can be the performer this time, doing some of these easy magic tricks.
When you think of magic, what is the first thing that comes to mind---besides a magician, a hat, and a rabbit-----yep, a deck of playing cards. These few examples that follow are all done with just a deck of cards, nothing more, and can be learned easily. These are all found on the Internet under easy magic tricks. First, there is one called Dealing a Royal Flush----and this one will test your powers of communication, because there is more talk involved than skill. Then we have the Color Card Prediction which is simply a spectator choosing a card---puts it back in deck----and voila, it is the only different colored card in the deck. A couple of others that are fun are the Rising Card----a spectator chooses a card, inserts it back in deck, and you make it magically rise from the pack: and finally, Cutting the Aces, which will take a little practice, but is fun and worth it.
Next up we have all kinds of easy magic tricks that can be done with money----all kinds of money; dollar bills in any denomination and different types of coins. With coins you have a wide variety of tricks that can be found on the Internet if you just browse up magic tricks; some of the easier ones are the Vanishing Coin----you have 4 coins in your hand, close your hand, open, and there are 3. Learn how to do it. Or with bills: take 2 dollar bills in different denominations; roll together on a table, unroll them and the bill that was on the top is now on the bottom. TaDah!
Remember all the hoopla that surrounds Harry Potter and his gang at Hogwarts? Well, you can treat your kids or they can perform for their friends, some of these fun easy magic tricks based on Harry Potter-----just have the performer dressed in a long robe with large round glasses, and the mood is set for some great fun. Try this one call the Levitating Ring----someone's finger ring can be made to slowly rise up a pencil, or a magic wand----great stuff for kids; and then move right on into one called The Magnetic Hand. A hand of playing cards is fanned out and then appear to be lifted into the air as if they were glued to your hand by a magnet-----is that the best, or what. The kids will love it.
You're at a party and you want to try out some of the easy magic tricks you learned from browsing the Internet----so here's a good one to start with. This one is called Dark Magic and if you do it with panache it will wow the group in the room every time. You walk out of the room, someone in the room choses an object and points it out to everyone else in the room but doesn't move it, then you walk back in and immediately point to the chosen object and identify it. You will have gasps and whispers all around the room as you do it over and over again.
And what better place to try a little of your newly learned skills with easy magic tricks, than at the dinner table; and you can begin your routine with this one. The Butter Knife Through the Napkin trick that will leave them all with their mouths hanging open; and follow that with the Vanishing Toothpick, where you make a toothpick literally vanish into your hands. What a trick. Then there is always this old standby, where you take a spoon, make it look like you are bending it dramatically, and then you put it down showing all at the table that it is still perfectly straight. You will have people begging you to let on how you did it.
Yup, magic can be lots of fun and provide a few belly laughs all around, and what makes it even more fun is the fact that we all could be a magician of sorts if we wanted to. All that is necessary is to get to a computer, browse up easy magic tricks on the Internet, and practice a few of them until you get them to a point where you can perform them believably without screwing up and without fainting from fear. A good share of us are hams at heart, and performing these tricks is a fun way to express yourself when the time is right. - 31879
