The Worth Of Finding A Wedding Magician

By Andrew Edmonds

When arrangements are made for a wedding, many different plans must be made. The colors, the location, the reception, the wedding dress, and numerous small as well as large things are involved. If time is rather short it may be time to engage a Wedding Magician in the form of a family member or some other knowledgeable person to help with decision-making as well as ensuring tasks are completed on time. Those who can pull off the party of the century are truly magicians in every sense of the word.

When to ask for help in planning a wedding, reception, or honeymoon is based on individual preference which is often impacted by time and resources. Some people are able to take over from the start and need no assistance. Others, who have not done much planning feel overwhelmed from the very beginning. If this is the case then it is time to decide just how much help is needed. A couple planning a wedding should sit down and decide what they will do together and when the help of others is required.

It is not unusual for someone faced with making all the decisions connected to a wedding to feel a little intimidated by all the details involved. Asking someone for assistance does not lower anyone's regard for the person involved, rather they admire someone who is willing to ask rather than make unnecessary mistakes. When a person recognizes their own limitations it is a reflection of their personal character and others appreciate that quality in them.

It is common for the bride-to-be to ask her mother or a close relative to assist her in choosing her wedding gown. The color theme for the wedding is sometimes agreed on with the groom, but usually this is the bride's job. The bridesmaids usually accompany the bride in trying on different styles for their dresses with the bride choosing the color. For those who serve in the role of wedding magician, or wedding planner, this selection helps set the theme for the wedding and determines many other elements of the wedding and reception.

As a couple, the bride and groom have certain responsibilities that cannot be designated to others, although suggestions are always invited. Among these are the minister, the church, and honeymoon destination. Once these decisions are made, the other elements such as the reception site, wedding cake design, and floral arrangements can be designed and ordered with the bride and groom's consent.

Many times the bride's parents, who finance the wedding, are overlooked but definitely belong in the Wedding Magician category. Not only do they agree with almost everything their daughter decides, but support any reasonable decisions she may make. They are caught up in the excitement of the moment and pass this on to their daughter so she can really enjoy the moment. Additionally, not only financially ensuring the wedding is a magical experience, they also often complete many of the tasks themselves.

For those who desire an outstanding wedding, but do not feel confident in making important choices alone and lack the know-how or time to get it all done by themselves, a wedding planner can work magic in achieving the countless tasks required of a wedding. The wedding planner will consult with the couple regarding any decisions or suggestions as to what they may desire. This can include, but not be limited to, the flowers, the reception food, decorations, specifics of the church ceremony, arranging for a caterer, hiring the limousine, or anything else that is needed.

Who is the Wedding Magician? It is the person or persons who assist in creating an event which will be fascinating and fabulous for all who attend. These behind the scenes people are outstanding in their own right. The excitement on the newlywed couple's faces, their happiness, and the goodwill shown by all makes the day a joyous occasion by showing the true magic of the occasion. - 31879

Have Some Fun At A Wedding Reception With A Wedding Magician

By Andrew Edmonds

Most people who plan weddings have a lot of things to thing about, but it probably slips their mind to consider hiring a wedding magician to help with the entertainment. But those who have experienced this type of entertainment at a wedding reception have stated that it was one of the best receptions that they have been to.

There are plenty of things that a magician can do to make a wedding reception fun and memorable. Any relatively talented magician can help make a reception more enjoyable for who attend.

If you have ever been to a wedding, you know from experience that it takes quite some time for the bride and groom to finally be able to get together with the rest of their guests. They usually have so many pictures to take and other miscellaneous things to do before they can come join the crowd. This can lead to some uncomfortable moments during the reception. With a wedding magician, that can be changed. A magician can walk around and mingle with the crowd while entertaining them as he or she goes around the reception area.

Almost every wedding seems to have a DJ of some sort for their major entertainment, but sometimes people need a break from the music, and perhaps don't feel like dancing. A nice touch after a meal could be adding a wedding magician that can perform for the crowd for 30 to 45 minutes. Depending upon the act the magician can thrill them and/or fill them with laughter. All depends upon what type of magician that might be hired.

Everyone knows there is always bound to be some children at a wedding and the reception. Everyone also knows that children can get really bored, really fast at a wedding. So a wedding magician can share his or her talents with the children which will no doubt put a smile on any child's face at the wedding reception.

If you might be someone that practices magic and might be thinking of specializing in wedding magic. The first and foremost thing you might want to do is make sure that your business cards and handout information stipulates that you specialize in wedding receptions. You don't want them thinking you do magic for any occasion.

Make up some nice Take One displays and then ask if you can put them up at all your local florists and wedding stores. This is a good and free way to get your name out to those planning a wedding.

It is vital that the person who might be considering a wedding magician for their wedding reception be able to easily contact you via phone or a website. People who are planning a wedding want to be able to contact businesses with ease or they will go elsewhere.

Since DJs are almost a must for today's wedding receptions, it might be a wise idea for the magician to contact some local DJs to see if they wouldn't mind working with you and offer the wedding couple or planner a packaged deal for the wedding.

One more way that a wedding magician might find is a good way to promote their business is to set up a booth at wedding shows. This should have information and photos showing why their business would benefit the happy couples wedding day. - 31879

How This Mentalist Changed My Awareness Forever

By Miles Sunkest

Last week I was riding my bike downtown. All of a sudden my buddies pulled up in this big pickup truck. They said we were going this club. They told me to throw my bike in the back, and we'd be off and running. I thought it was going to be some really lame open mic night at some bookstore, but what I saw made he question the very fabric of reality itself.

When we showed up to where this place was, I simply followed her inside. I probably shouldn't have been so thoughtless, and in retrospect it may have been pretty dangerous, what I did. But nonetheless, next thing I know I was sitting in this plush, red leather chair. And for some strange reason, I didn't feel like moving, at all.

Then this really tall guy came out on this stage. For some reason I thought I was on the only one there, until I heard all these people clapping. It turns out I was at some kind of magic show, or a mentalist show. This guy started doing some pretty crafty illusions, but nothing that I hadn't seen on TV.

What happened next is when it started to get really weird. He started walking around the crowd and picking people at random. He would stop, look at somebody, and then tell them their whole life story. I was pretty sure this was set up, but then he walked up to me and did the same thing. So of course, I thought maybe my friends had given him my information, that it was all some big prank or something.

After that he raised his hands and commanded the clouds that were up in the sky to swirl around in these strange patterns. Again, the skeptic in me is sure there was some kind of video projection deal going on, but I couldn't find any evidence of it. Then he went through and thanked everyone in the audience, calling out their name, address, and phone number. Kind of like an implicit warning not to tell anybody about this weirdness.

The only reason I remember any of this is I had my cell phone recording the whole thing. But when I came home, it turns out all the language spoken that day was in the ancient language of Sumerian, which I've never studied. I had to hire an expert to translate it so I knew what transpired. Now how's that for a weird day? - 31879

By Andrew Edmonds

A lot of people when they set back and begin to think about their wedding day, first think about obtaining flowers and different momentum's for guests and things of that nature. However, with many modern day weddings, a lot of people are actually thinking about obtaining a wedding magician.

A person's wedding day can be a very tiring, yet joyful day. There are so many things that must get accomplished in this one day that often times the guests that are at your wedding are shunned aside. No one means to leave their guests out of the mix, but with the array of pictures that have to be taken its hard to avoid this dilemma.

With obtaining a wedding magician you will be able to ensure that your guests are entertained for the entire course of your wedding day. While you are out taking your pictures, or doing one thing or another with your new spouse on your special day, your guests can always have someone that is paying attention to them. Thus, allowing your guests to feel as though they are welcomed.

In most instances whenever a wedding photographer declares that they want to take photographs of you and your spouse, they normally pull you away from your wedding party. This can cause your wedding to seem dull to your guests that are not involved in the photographs being taken.

During your wedding meal is also a great time to have a magician entertain everyone as well. Anytime, that your wedding situation seems to settle down, consider this a great time to throw a magician into the mix in order to liven up the party.

Perhaps one of the best times to bring your magician out is at your wedding reception. The reception is used for a chance for everyone to settle down after the long day. Often times, the reception is a time of dancing and celebration. However, not everyone dances and everyone loves magic so why not mix the both of them together?

When it comes to choosing a magician for your wedding, it is imperative that you commence in a good deal of research before making your final decision. You want to ensure that the magician that you are obtaining is skilled in their craft, and not just a hoax or someone looking for a way to make a quick dollar.

Some magicians may allow you the option to see them perform. However, if the magician that you are hiring, normally only performs at weddings you may need to meet with them outside of their performance in order to analyze the skills that the particular magician that you are interested in hiring has.

For the most part, every magician has their very own kit of tricks and things that they carry around with them. Ask the magician that you are opting to hire to show you different things in their bags and ask what types of tricks that they utilize their kit for.

It is imperative, that you do not base your decision to hire a magician solely off of the kit that they carry around with them. Ask as many questions as you can to the magician that you are opting to obtain and if you can't witness one of their performances ask them to show you some random magic when you meet. - 31879

The Incredibly Amazing Magician

By Miles Sunkest

I had a most interesting experience last Saturday night. Usually I just sit around and watch TV, but a friend called and said his brother had gotten some tickets to this show. It was some kind of magic show. I'd never really been interested in magic, up to now at least.

The last time I saw a magician, was at this community center when I was about ten years old. If I remember correctly, he did some basic card tricks, some sleight of hand, and he had those big metal rings that he clicked in and out of each other. The thing I remember the most about him was how the adults were saying that he was just an average magician.

But the guy we saw the other night was way different. He didn't just do some basic tricks, he did these things that I didn't even think were possible. I don't even remember this guys name, but he had the whole crowd completely mesmerized during the entire show. The way people were looking at him, I really wanted to learn some magic tricks on my own.

He started off with what had to be some general warm ups. Basic tricks, card tricks, pulling stuff out of thing air, making roses turn into basketballs, common things like that. He did a few psychic tricks where he guessed information about people like their birthdays and stuff. Nothing that you couldn't really learn off the Internet.

After that he really shocked everybody. He walked around, and talked to a few people. Some people he would lean in and touch on the shoulder. Some people's hands he shocked. Then he went back up on stage and started telling these really lame, but long winded jokes. And while he was doing that, all the people that he touched physically came up on stage. Like they were zombies or something.

Once they were up on stage, they started doing all these tricks, like juggling, and doing handstands and stuff. It was like he was controlling their minds or something. If you ever get a chance to see this guy, make sure you do. He is incredible. - 31879

Three Magic Tricks Secrets Revealed

By John Jasmino

Professional Magicians won't reveal how they do the magic tricks. It's a sworn to secrecy oath for magicians not to tell anyone how a magic trick is done. Here are three secrets though that they've shared all throughout the years. Here are their three secrets.

The first secret is that some tricks are done through sleight of hand. These are means with which they skillfully hide an object and make it re-emerge on another hand. New magicians hide things up their sleeves. Those are old tricks and very few used them today.

Sleights of hand take a lot of time and practice to master. Beginners of magic tricks use specially made gimmicks to create their illusions. Professional magicians take advantage of their impressive sleight of hand. It requires a lot of time, patience and hand coordination to fully understand and do correctly.

Another magic trick secret is the art of misdirection. See this blank paper? And as audience looks at the blank paper, he is carefully getting another piece with his other hand. This is misdirection. Another type of misdirection is the kind that doesn't let the audience see what's really causing the tricks. You might have seen that a magician has a lot of assistants who also do incredible stuff, but what you didn't know is that they are helping the magician perform the magic just by being there.

Another kind of misdirection is the use of words. For example, a magician will tell you to look at the 'empty' box. We tend to look at the box as empty just because he said it. This makes our mind to wonder when the magician pulls a rabbit out of it.

Misdirection takes a lot of practice and lots of time in preparation. It involves body coordination (one body doing something while the other is doing another thing) and quick thinking. Misdirection is an art and magicians are self-respecting of it.

Another secret is their patter or a magician's continuous talk. Misdirection is achieved mostly because of patter. The magician will ask you to look at his right hand and as you are looking, you won't notice what his left hand is doing. This is a really clever way to achieve the illusion that what happens next becomes so magical with the wink of an eye.

Patter usually takes the form of a story, where a magician will tell you of something that happened to him in the past. Sometimes it's so amusing that we actually forget to look at what their hands are doing or what their assistants are giving them. These are the three magic tricks revealed. Don't tell anyone! - 31879

Let's Take A Look At Some Of The Fun And Easy Magic Tricks Found On The Internet

By Barb Church

Unless you grew up under a rock somewhere, you have been exposed to magicians at an early age, and like most people, have been fascinated and have loved the art for as long as you can remember. Well, here are a few easy ways to bring back that fascination you remember from long ago, and the thrill you still feel when magic is in the air, and you can be the performer this time, doing some of these easy magic tricks.

When you think of magic, what is the first thing that comes to mind---besides a magician, a hat, and a rabbit-----yep, a deck of playing cards. These few examples that follow are all done with just a deck of cards, nothing more, and can be learned easily. These are all found on the Internet under easy magic tricks. First, there is one called Dealing a Royal Flush----and this one will test your powers of communication, because there is more talk involved than skill. Then we have the Color Card Prediction which is simply a spectator choosing a card---puts it back in deck----and voila, it is the only different colored card in the deck. A couple of others that are fun are the Rising Card----a spectator chooses a card, inserts it back in deck, and you make it magically rise from the pack: and finally, Cutting the Aces, which will take a little practice, but is fun and worth it.

Next up we have all kinds of easy magic tricks that can be done with money----all kinds of money; dollar bills in any denomination and different types of coins. With coins you have a wide variety of tricks that can be found on the Internet if you just browse up magic tricks; some of the easier ones are the Vanishing Coin----you have 4 coins in your hand, close your hand, open, and there are 3. Learn how to do it. Or with bills: take 2 dollar bills in different denominations; roll together on a table, unroll them and the bill that was on the top is now on the bottom. TaDah!

Remember all the hoopla that surrounds Harry Potter and his gang at Hogwarts? Well, you can treat your kids or they can perform for their friends, some of these fun easy magic tricks based on Harry Potter-----just have the performer dressed in a long robe with large round glasses, and the mood is set for some great fun. Try this one call the Levitating Ring----someone's finger ring can be made to slowly rise up a pencil, or a magic wand----great stuff for kids; and then move right on into one called The Magnetic Hand. A hand of playing cards is fanned out and then appear to be lifted into the air as if they were glued to your hand by a magnet-----is that the best, or what. The kids will love it.

You're at a party and you want to try out some of the easy magic tricks you learned from browsing the Internet----so here's a good one to start with. This one is called Dark Magic and if you do it with panache it will wow the group in the room every time. You walk out of the room, someone in the room choses an object and points it out to everyone else in the room but doesn't move it, then you walk back in and immediately point to the chosen object and identify it. You will have gasps and whispers all around the room as you do it over and over again.

And what better place to try a little of your newly learned skills with easy magic tricks, than at the dinner table; and you can begin your routine with this one. The Butter Knife Through the Napkin trick that will leave them all with their mouths hanging open; and follow that with the Vanishing Toothpick, where you make a toothpick literally vanish into your hands. What a trick. Then there is always this old standby, where you take a spoon, make it look like you are bending it dramatically, and then you put it down showing all at the table that it is still perfectly straight. You will have people begging you to let on how you did it.

Yup, magic can be lots of fun and provide a few belly laughs all around, and what makes it even more fun is the fact that we all could be a magician of sorts if we wanted to. All that is necessary is to get to a computer, browse up easy magic tricks on the Internet, and practice a few of them until you get them to a point where you can perform them believably without screwing up and without fainting from fear. A good share of us are hams at heart, and performing these tricks is a fun way to express yourself when the time is right. - 31879

The best way to get good at this skill is to simply practice. Join clubs, like toastmasters, or take a public speaking class at your local Junior College. Amazing And Interesting Magic Tricks

By James Anthony

One of today's most popular performing arts is magic tricks. This art form is created to entertain people who are willing to be tricked by creating an illusion of the impossible. This happens right in front of the audiences eyes. The people that help to create these wonderful illusions are known as magicians.

The word Magic comes from the Latin word Magi. The Magi was a person who had the ability to read the stars and predict the future. One of the most famous creators of magic tricks was Harry Houdini. Not only was he an amazing magician, but he was the greatest escapologist to ever live.

Magic tricks are achieved with a sleight of hand, misdirection, mirrors or some other form of deception. What the magician is trying to achieve is a sense of bewilderment as he tries to perform a trick that is seemingly impossible.

But these magic tricks couldn't happen without a willing audience. Audience members going into a show know they are going to be deceived. They willingly agree to be entertained by an act that they know is mere trickery. But this act of magic tricks never ceases to amaze even the toughest of skeptics.

Houdini's main reason for success was because he earned the trust of his fans. He spent time debunking charlatans who claimed they had magical powers by showing how they performed their tricks but while also performing tricks of his own. Following suit today are magicians like Penn and Teller who perform the same stunts of magic and debunking.

For a long time in the U. S., magic tricks were thought to be mainly children's entertainment. This would change though with the revival of Doug Henning. He worked to bring the great magic tricks back to huge public audiences of adults and he became popular on television as well as on stage.

In the twentieth century, many illusionists have emerged that are simply amazing. Performers like David Blaine perform Houdini style magic tricks like escapes and physical endurance displays for his fans. Most of these magicians we see on television perform their magic tricks in front of a live audience in order to gain the trust of their television audience.

Most magic tricks today are based on the old principals of magic. The saying its all done with smoke and mirrors was a reference to how magic tricks were performed. However, most magicians today don't bother with mirrors, simply because they are too difficult to transport and set up.

There are different types of magic tricks that can be performed. Restoration tricks are where an object is destroyed first then brought back whole again. Transformation tricks are when objects change from one thing into another. Vanishing tricks are when the magician makes an object or person disappear and Production tricks are where he makes things appear out of nowhere.

Teleportation tricks are when the magician moves an object from one place to another or when two objects change places. Escapology is when the magician is typically restrained and works his way to escape to safety. Levitation is simply where the magician appears to defy gravity and Penetration is when the magician is able to make one solid object move through another. Most magic tricks today that are successful are a mixture of forms, making an entire show for the audience. - 31879
